Meet your founder, Dr Megan Alderson
Working in and on the floor of a busy companion animal practice has its daily challenges. With thirty years in the profession my journey from mixed animal practice as a new graduate, to world travel, to growing into companion animal medicine and business ownership has laid the groundwork for my education.

A Founder's Journey
Along the way I checked the boxes. Living with anxiety started early in my career and has continued to be a work in progress today. Lack of sleep due to chronic insomnia, chronic pain and stress related health problems, periods of depression and yes, at a low point in my life, suicidal thoughts a big part of my “why” to starting the vetThrive collective.
Working in a career I love, and my leadership role meant for the past decade I have been researching and seeking a solution for better health for myself, in turn assisting the team I lead to follow in my footsteps as I lead the way to thrive.
vetThrive is a product of this wisdom. Translatable to the individual and the veterinary business, over the past 3 years we have practiced daily in a veterinary setting with outstanding results.
This remains a journey as part of the movement for better medical professional health. Leading the way to a profession who can thrive as we take a proactive approach to looking after ourselves and each other together.
